A particle of mass 1 kg, is moving along x axis under conservative forces only. The potential energy U(x) is given by U(x) = 10 + (x – 3)2, where x is in metre and U(x) is in joule. At x = 5 m, the particle has kinetic energy of 10 J. The total mechanical energy of the particle remains constant at every position. Answer the following question.
