Parliament is the supreme legislature of India because it make laws that are applicable to the whole country.It is the highest law making authority in the country.It exercises control over the Council of Ministers and make them answerable and accountable to the Parliament.The Parliament exercises control over the finance and the Council of Ministers have to take prior approval of the Parliament before spending money.Parliament acts as a channel between the masses and the govt.by exercising control over the functioning of the government in public interest.
