Given: The number of notes of 1000, 500 and 100 are in the ratio 2:3:5.

Let the number of 1000, 500 and
100 notes be 2x,3x and 5x.

No. of 1000 notes =2x, Its value = 1000×2x= 2000x

No. of 500 notes =3x, Its value = 500×3x= 1500x

No. of 100 notes =5x, Its value = 100×5x= 500x

Given: Total cash = 5,00,000

2000x+1500x+500x= 5,00,000

4000x=5,00,000

x=125

Number of 1000 notes =2x=2×125=250 notes
