Solution

i) As per pictograph information, the sale of the motorbike in January month=7.5×100=750

750 motorbikes sold in January was the sale maximum.

ii) In April month was the sale of motorbikes =3×100=300

300motorbike was sold in April which is a minimum.

iii) Number of bikes sold in February =6.5×100

=650

650 bikes sold in February.

iv) Number of bikes sold in June =7×100

=700

Number of bikes sold in March =5×100

=500

Bikes sold less in March than in June =700-500

Yes, 200 bikes sold less in March than in June.

v) Ratio =numberofmotorbikessoldinAprilnumberofmotorbikessoldinMay

=300550

Divide by 50

=611

Hence, the ratio of the number of motorbikes sold in April to the number of motorbikes sold in May=6:11
