Plant cells (roots) do their best when we provide fresh water to them. What is the scientific reason behind it?

Solution

Freshwater distributes the nutrients such as vitamins and minerals from soil to stem, leaves and other plant parts more effectively. If saltwater is present, then it tends to play the tug of war with roots. Freshwater does not stop the nutrients from passing to the other parts of the plant.
