Plants are autotrophic. But
Venus flytrap and Pitcher plant are heterotrophic.So how can we say that they are plants ?

Both Venus flytrap and Pitcher plant are insectivorous plants. They exhibit autotrophic as well as heterotrophic mode of nutrition. These plants are green and can carry out the process of photosynthesis. But these plants grow in a regions where soil is very poor in nutrients. Therefore, in order to obtain sufficient nutrients fro their growth, they feed on insects.
