Question

Plot the points 𝑨 (𝟒, 𝟒) and 𝑩 (−𝟒, 𝟒) on the Cartesian coordinates. Join the lines 𝑶𝑨, 𝑶𝑩 and 𝑩𝑨. What figure do you obtain?

  • First we have to plot both the points A and B and then join them with origin O.
  • Let's take the first point (4, 4).
  • We will go 4 units to the right on the x- axis.
  • upwards on the y-axis and mark point A on it.
  • Similarly, take the second point (-4, 4).
  • Starting from the origin we will go 4 units to the left on the x- axis.
  • From here, we will go 4 units upwards and mark point B on it.
  • Now join OA, OB and BA. this figure is a triangle.
