Pollination occurs in
Conifers
Flowering plants
The term pollination refers to the transfer of pollen from an anther to a stigma. Pollen grains are male gametes and ovules/eggs are the female gametes. The plants like pine trees, ginkgo, cycads etc produce male and female cones. Such plants are called gymnosperms (conifers). Plants like mango, apple, rose etc which produce flowers are called angiosperms (flowering plants). Thus the pollination takes place in both types of plants i.e. gymnosperms and angiosperms as both are sexually reproducing plants.
