The correct option is A 4.9Ω


Rp is resistance of potentiometer.

Potential difference across potentiometer=potential gradient × length

=0.2×103×100=0.02V

Current in circuit=I=ER+Rp=2490+Rp

Potential difference across potentiometer=IRp

2Rp490+Rp=0.02

1.98Rp=9.8

Rp=4.9Ω
