Precautions should be taken while storing cooked food items in plastic bags. Why?

Plastic bags:

1. We use polythene bags for many things like packing vegetables, filling garbage etc.
2. But plastic bags are not suitable for the storing of cooked food items because:
   • The plastic bags which we are using may be recycled one.
   • The chemicals which are used for the manufacture of plastics may dissolve with the food and spoil it.
3. Hence we should not use plastic bags for storing cooked food items.
