The given reaction is a Hoffmann bromamide degradation reaction. Only primary amides are used in this reaction. Hence, (c) and (d) cannot be the substrate of the given reaction.

In Hoffmann degradation, the product will be the primary amine with one carbon less than the substrate amide.

In product, there is 2 carbon atom in alkyl chain, so, the substrate amide should have 3 carbon atom in the alkyl chain.

Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.
