1. Sensitive plants such as Mimosa pudica fold its leaves on touching known as seismonastic movement (movement due to touch).
2. Inward movement of sensitive plants is known as seismonastic movement which occurs due to changes in turgor pressure but movement of shoot towards the light is known as phototropism. Phototropic movements are directional dependent movements that is, they are dependent on the direction of the stimulus but nastic movements are direction independent movements.
