  • Statement 1 is correct. Lord Cornwallis introduced Code de Cornwallis, i.e. a judicial procedure code. He founded four Circuit courts at Patna, Dacca, Murshidabad and Calcutta. He abolished the appellate court founded by Warren Hastings: Sadar Diwani Adalat for civil cases and Sadar Nizamat Adalat for criminal cases.
