सूर्य मंदिर, कोणार्क

कैलाशनाथ मंदिर
यह रॉक क्लिफ फेस से नक्काशी किए गए इस मेगालिथ को इसके आकार, वास्तुकला और मूर्तिकला के लिहाज से दुनिया के सबसे उल्लेखनीय गुफा मंदिरों में से एक माना जाता है । मंदिर की अधिकांश खुदाई का श्रेय सामान्यतः आठवीं शताब्दी के राष्ट्रकूट राजा कृष्ण प्रथम को दिया जाता है।
