Solution

Given, total number of days in contract=30
Money received per day for working=Rs.120
Money deducted per day for being absent=Rs. 10
and amount received by employee as salary=Rs 2300
Let the employee remained absent for x days. Then, employee worked for (30-x) days.
According to the question.
120(30-x)-10x=2300
3600-120x-10x=2300
-130x=-3600+2300
-130x=-1300
therefore x=10
Therefore, employee remained absent for 10days.
