Question 4
What is immunisation?

Open in App
Solution

Immunisation is defined as the protection of the body from communicable diseases by administration of some agent that mimics the microbe. This triggers the defence mechanism of the individual and later when the real microbes attack, the body is ready to defend itself against the pathogens.
Immunisation uses the body’s natural defence mechanism to build resistance to specific infections.
