(a) Thyroxin - Thyroxin regulates carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism in the body so as to provide the best balance for growth.

(b) Insulin - This is a hormone which is produced by the Islet of the Langerhans in the Pancreas and helps in regulating blood sugar levels.

(c) Adrenaline - Adrenaline is carried in the bloodstream and affects the autonomous nervous system, which controls functions such as the heart rate, dilation of the pupils, and secretion of sweat and saliva. Prepares the body for 'fight or flight' response.

(d) Growth hormone - As its name indicates, growth hormone regulates growth and development of the body.

(e) Testosterone - Triggers sperm production and is responsible for the development of secondary sexual characters in males.
