Let the cost price of a chair = Rs. x
The selling price of a chair = Rs. 736
At selling a shopkeeper suffers 8% loss.
According to the question,
x - x ×8100=73692x100=736x=7360092=Rs.800
To gain 8% profit the price should be = 800+8100×800=800+64 = Rs. 864
