Raahil has a certain number of chocolates; he gave $\frac{1}{3}$ of the chocolates to his brother and $\frac{1}{6}$ of them to his friend. He was left with $30$ chocolates. How many chocolates did he has ?

Let Raahil have 'x' number of chocolates

Chocolates given to his brother $=\frac{x}{3}$

Chocolates given to his friend $=\frac{x}{6}$

Chocolates left $=30$

Then

$x-\frac{x}{3}-\frac{x}{6}=30$

$\frac{6x-2x-x}{6}=30$

$\Rightarrow 3x=30\times 6$

$[x=60]$

$\therefore$ Raahil have $60$ chocolates earlier.
