The curd is acidic in nature. As we know the acid attacks most of the metal. If we kept curd in copper and brass it will form a toxic compound harmful for humans. So, we use stainless steel vessels.
When we keep acid (curd) in a copper vessel, they react with each other and produce hydrogen gas and salt. Hydrogen gas is poisonous if combine with metals which is harmful to our body's health.
