Mean $,\overline{x}=\frac{\sum x_i}{n}=\frac{x_1+x_2+x_3+....x_n}{n}$ Where $x_1,x_2,x_3....x_n$ are $n$ observation and $\overline{x}$ is their mean

$=\frac{4+5+12+3+6+8+0.5}{7}=\frac{38.5}{7}=5.5cm$
Hence, the average rainfall per day $=5.5cm$
