Rajeev bought a second hand bike for 50,000. He spent 5,000 on its repairing. He then sold the bike for 12% profit. How much was the selling price of the bike?

Dear Student,

Price of second hand bike = Rs. 50000

repairing amount = Rs. 5000
Now Total Cost price including repair cost, of second hand bike is= 50000+5000= Rs 55000
So for the Profit of 12% the selling price will be
= Cost Price(including repair cost)+12% of Cost Price(including repair cost)
= 55000+12100×55000=Rs. 61,600/-
