Question

Rakesh wants to cover the floor of a room 4 m wide and 6 m long by square tiles if each square tile is 0.7m then find the no. Of tiles required to cover the floor of the room

Solution

Area of Room = l x b = 4 x 6 = 24 m²
Area of each square tile = a² = 0.7 x 0.7 = 0.49 m²

Therefore , no of tiles  =  24/0.49 = 48.9 = 49 tiles are Required
