The correct option is C $1680$ sq.cm
Area of chort paper (rectangular) = $l \times b$

$= 50 \times 40 = 2000 c m^{2}$

Area of one picture = $l \times b$

= $10 \times 8 = 80 c m^{2}$

Area of 4 pictures = $80 \times 4 = 320 c m^{2}$

Area left box = Area of unshaded region

$= 2000 - 320$

$= 1680 c m^{2}$
