Ravi made a cuboid of plasticine of dimensions12cm,8cm and 3cm. How many minimum numbers of such cuboids will be needed to form a cube of side 12cm?

Step 1: Find volume of cube

The given side of cube =12cm and

Cuboid dimensions are length(l)=12cm,breadth(b)=8cm,height(h)=3cm.

Volume of cube =(side)3

=(12)3=1728cm3

Step 2: Find number of cuboids.

Now, Volume of cuboid =lbh

=12×8×3=288cm3

Number of cuboids needed to form such cubes=volumeofcubevolumeofacuboid

=1728288=6

Hence 6 such cuboids will be needed to form a cube of side 12cm.
