LCM of $12,8$ & $3$ is $24$. Therefore minimum edge length of cube formed will be $24$ cm.

Volume of cube = $n\times$ volume of $1$ cuboid [$n=$ number of cuboid ]

$\Rightarrow {\left(24\right)}^3=n\times 288$

$\Rightarrow n=\frac{24\times 24\times 24}{288}=48$

Hence, number of cuboids $=48$
