Assertion-Reason relation

The nitrogenous compounds through which excess nitrogen is eliminated from organisms are called nitrogenous wastes.

Process of eliminating nitrogenous wastes in the form of uric acid from the body is called uricotelism. Uric acid is almost insoluble in water. It is also the least toxic one than other nitrogenous wastes like urea, ammonia. Therefore, it requires very less water for elimination from the body. It is expelled out of the body in the form of paste/ pellet.
