Solution

The correct option is C Statement 1 and 3 are correct and statement 2 is incorrect
Integrated organic farming is a cyclical, zero-waste procedure, where waste products from one process are cycled in as nutrients for other processes. This allows the maximum utilization of resources and increases the efficiency of production.

Radioactive waste is a hazardous waste containing radioactive elements. Apart from nuclear power plants, radioactive waste is produced by many factories like fuel processing, chemical laboratories and medical wastes.

Plastic is one of the most widely used materials by humans. It is one of the sturdiest materials ever produced. Further plastic does not decompose naturally. In fact, plastic items take up to 1000 years to decompose in landfills. But plastic bags which we use in our everyday life take as many as 10-20 years to decompose, while plastic bottles take 450 years.

Since these are not biodegradable, plastics are sent for recycling.
