Solution

The correct option is A A - Parasite, B - antibody
Pathogens are infectious agents like bacteria, virus, fungi, helminths (worms) etc., which have the capacity to cause disease. Once they enter inside the body, the antigens present on their surface are recognised by the immune system. It results in an immune response to prevent infections or eliminate that organism from the body.

Antigens are substances, which can be peptides, lipids or polysaccharides that are recognized by the immune system as foreign substances. It is normally present on the surface of pathogens which are recognised by the immune system.

An organism living on a host and derives nutrients from their body is called a parasite. All parasites will not produce toxins. For example, roundworms that live in the intestines of humans. Toxins are normally released by the pathogens once they are encountered by the immune system of the host. It is of two types, exotoxins (secreted by the cells) and endotoxins (parts of cell membrane).
