Stamen is the male reproductive organ which possesses a slender stalk called filament and a terminal structure called anther. The number and length of stamens is the same in flowers of the same species.

Anther
Anther is a bilobed and each lobe has two theca (dithecous) and two pollen sacs (microsporangia). It is tetrasporangiate as it possesses four microsporangia which are located at the corners, two in each lobe. A longitudinal groove runs lengthwise and separates the theca of each lobe.

Pollen grains

In microsporangium, the microspore mother cell divides by meiosis to produce haploid tetrads called microspore tetrads. Tetrads develop into pollen grains.
