Remove the brackets and simplify: 3(3s-2t)-4(s+2t)

Open in App
Solution

SImplifying the algebraic expression

Simplification rule: If there is a "-" sign before a bracket, then the signs of all the terms inside the bracket changes but if there is a + sign before the bracket, then no change of signs.

3(3s-2t)-4(s+2t)=9s-6t-4s-8t=9s-4s-6t-8t=5s-14t

Therefore, the simplified expression is 5s-14t
