The correct option is D ₹ 16500

Given, side of the square plot is 25 m.
$\therefore$ Area of the square plot
$={side}^2={25}^2=625\text{sq. m.}$
The house plot is in the shape of a rectangle.
Also given that length and breadth of the rectangular region are 20 m and 15 m respectively.
So, area of the house plot
= length $\times$ breadth
= $20\times 15$
= $300\text{sq. m.}$

$\therefore \text{Area of the garden}=625-300=325\text{sq. m.}$

Cost of developing the garden
= Area $\times$ Rate
= $300\times 55$
= $₹16500$
