The correct option is C 3.0 V
The three 6 Ω resistors are connected in the parallel hence their equivalent resistance will be,

R1=R3=63=2 Ω

Similarly for the second part, the equivalent resistance is,

R2=12×612+6=7218=4 Ω

The given circuit can be reduced to


Therefore the equivalent resistance between A and B is,

RAB=2+4=6 Ω

The current always flow from high potential region to a low potential region i.e VA>VB

Applying ohm's law,

VAVB=iRAB

VAVB=0.5×6=3 V
