Question

Respected sir/ madam,
Good evening. My dought is:
what is the difference between cell division and cell multiplication

Open in App
Solution

Cell division is when one cell splits into two, as in Mitosis. Cell multiplication is caused by cell division, as when one cell divides into two, it is actually multiplying and dividing at one time. The term "division" is used as 'splitting up,' not in the math term where numbers shrink.

division =4 divides 2 =2

multiplication = 2 * 2=4
