Given that selling price of the article = ₹ 9000

The amount of sales tax = ₹ 450

Let the rate of sales tax be r

We know , Amount of sales tax = r % of 9000

$∴$ 450 = $\frac{r}{100}$ $\times$ 9000

r = $\frac{450 \times 100}{900}$
