Solution

The correct option is A 120
Given : One rupee, 50 paise and 25 paise coin in proportion 2:3:4
Let the variable be x
Then, one rupee coin =2x
And 50 paise coin =3x
And 25 paise coin =4x
The value of one rupee coin =2x
The value of 50 paise coin =0.50×3x=1.5x
The value of 25 paise coin =0.25×4x=x
Then, total value of box =2x+1.5x+x=4.5x Rs.
But total value of the bag is given Rs 180
4.5x=180
x=40
Then, number of 50 paise coin in bag =3×40=120
