The correct option is D Rs. 24000
Purchasing price = Rs. 10000
Repairing charge = Rs. 5000
Transportation charge = Rs. 1000
Total cost price = 10000 + 5000 + 1000 = Rs. 16000
Given that,
$P r o f i t p e r c e n t a g e = \frac{P r o f i t}{T o t a l C . P} \times 100 50 = \frac{P r o f i t}{16000} \times 100 P r o f i t = 160 \times 50$ = Rs.8000
Therefore, selling price = 16000 + 8000 = Rs. 24000
Alternative solution:
Since profit is $50 %$ ,
Selling price will be $150 %$ of total C.P.
