As Jo has 0.6×0.4 part of the whole pizza, we need to compute 0.6×0.4.

Shift the decimal point of 0.6 by one unit to the right to make it a whole number 6.0
Similarly, shift the decimal point of 0.4 by one unit to the right to make it a whole number 4.0
6×4=24
Now, compensate the shifting of decimal point in 0.4 and 0.6 by shifting the decimal point in 24.0 by two units to the left.
