Solution

The correct option is B a - (iii), b - (ii), c - (iv), d - (i)
The mucosa of the small intestine is lined by a simple columnar epithelium which consists primarily of absorptive cells (enterocytes), with scattered goblet cells and occasional enteroendocrine cells. The large intestinal epithelium is the single cell layer that forms the luminal surface (lining) of both the small and large intestine (colon) of the gastrointestinal tract.
The epithelial cells in nephron are cuboidal, with very few microvilli. The cells stain more palely than those of the proximal convoluted tubule.
The epithelial lining of the male urethra changes from transitional epithelium at the bladder end to pseudostratified epithelium through prostatic, membranous and most of penile urethra, eventually changing to nonkeratinizing stratified squamous epithelium distally.
The conducting passageways of the respiratory system (nasal cavity, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles) are lined by pseudostratified columnar epithelial tissue, which is ciliated and which includes mucus-secreting goblet cells.
So the correct option is 'a - (iii), b - (ii), c - (iv), d - (i)'.
