Pro insulin is the precursor of insulin which consists of ‘A’ chain bonded with ‘B’ chain by disulphide bridges and has free ‘C’ chain. Whereas mature insulin is free of ‘C’ peptide chain, so removal of ‘C’ peptide leads to insulin.
