Select the list of semi-dwarf rice HYVs, developed outside India and in India.
During the 1970s to 1980s, HYV seeds of many varieties were introduced in India. High yielding rice cultivar called IR-8, a semi-dwarf rice variety developed by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines, TN-1 from Taiwan were adopted. Thus, during this period rice production went up from 35 million tonnes to 89.5 million tonnes. Later, we developed better-yielding semi-dwarf varieties of rice called Jaya and Ratna.
