Constipation refers to bowel movements with infrequent bowel or bowel that is hard to pass. The main symptom is increased difficulty and straining when passing stools. One of the causes of constipation is less fibre in the diet. Fibre helps clear bowel and reduces the chances of constipation. So, having less food that is rich in fibre (such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grain) increases the chances of constipation.
