Though yeasts do not produce a typical ascocarp they are still included in the Ascomycotina. Why?

Based on asexual reproduction yeast reproduce by budding and fission. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is an example of fission yeast, which also readily produce asci and ascospores in vitro. Thus it is included in ascomycetes.
