The statement is always valid because if we take 4 consecutive numbers, then in any case we will get numbers which will be even and one which is divisible by 3 because every third number is divisible by 3.
Let us take an example and understand this, 7 × 8 × 9 × 10 and divide it by 6.

As we can see that the number 8 is even and 9 is a multiple of 3 so the number is divisible by 6. A number to be divisible by 6 has to be divisible by both 2 and 3. This is the required condition.
