Simplify : 8-(34+210) ÷(224-35)

Step 1 : convert mixed fraction into improper fraction

224 =(2×4)+24 =8+24 =104

Step 2: Simplifying the first bracket

34+210

Step 3: The bottom numbers are different, To make it same take the L.C.M of 4 and 10

L.C.M of 4 and 10 is 20

Step 4: Convert both the fraction into equivalent like fractions with their L.C.M as common denominator

34 =3×54×5 =1520

210=2×210×2=420

Step 5: Add the numerators and put the answer over the denominator

1520+420=1920

Step 6 : Simplifying the second bracket

224-35 =104-35

Step 7: The bottom numbers are different, To make it same take the L.C.M of 4 and 5

L.C.M of 4 and 5 is 20

Step 8: Convert both the fraction into equivalent like fractions with their L.C.M as common denominator

104=10×54×5=5020

35 = 3×45×4 =1220

Step 9: Subtract the numerators and put the answer over the denominator

5020-1220=3820

8-(34+210) ÷(224-35) =8-1920÷3820

Step 10: First do division

1920÷3820

Step 11: Write the reciprocal of the second fraction ( that one you want to divide by ) with the sign of multiplication (×) and do multiplication

1920×2038 =19×2020×38 =380760=12

8-1920÷3820=8-12

Step 12: Simplify the answer

8-12 =(8×2)-12=16-12=152=712

Hence, 8-(34+210) ÷(224-35) =712
