Multiplication of a Binomial by a Monomial

Question
Simplify the following expression
7(4a-3)-3a{8-2a(1+2a)}
Open in App
Solution
We can write
2a(1+2a) = 2a +4a^2
8-2a(1+2a) = 8-2a-4a^2
3a{8-2a(1+2a)} = 24a - 6a^2 -12a^3
7(4a-3) = 28a -21
So final answer will be
7(4a-3)-3a{8-2a(1+2a)}
= 28a-21-24a+6a^2+12a^3
= 4a-21+6a^2+12a^3
Answer : 4a-21+6a^2+12a^3
