In the topic of electronic configuration of some element we have to write the no. of neutrons and no. of protron.

So, there is some method to learn this or just mug up???

The atomic number is the number of protons in an atom of an element.
Number of proton=Atomic number

Mass Number = (Number of Protons) + (Number of Neutrons)
if we know the mass number
number of neutron=(mass number)-(number of proton)=(mass no.)-(atomic no.)
