Smriti wants to cover the edges of her windows with fairy lights for Diwali. There are 3 windows in her house, what should be the length of the light roll that she has to buy?

The length as shown in the figure is 4 m and the width is 2.5m. We need to calculate the perimeter of the window which we can do with the formula 2 x length + 2 x width.
Perimeter of the window = 2 x 4 + 2 x 2.5 = 13 m.
As there are 3 windows therefore, we need to multiply the perimeter with 3
Hence, Smriti needs to buy the = 3 x 13 = 39 m of the light roll to cover all the 3 windows.
