The correct option is A

Given, maximum effort (E) = 250 N
Load (L) = mg = 50 x 10 = 500 N
Height (AC) = 1 m

Let angle made by inclined plane with the horizontal be θ.

From the figure above,

E = L sin θ
250 = 500 sin θ

sin θ = 250500 = 12 ...(i)

Also, from triangle ABC,
sin θ = heightlength of the plane = ACAB ........(ii)

From equation (i) and (ii), we get

ACAB = 12

1AB = 12

AB = 2 m
