Given, $\frac{3 x + 24}{2 x + 7} = 2$ .

On cross multiplying the denominator, we get,
$\Rightarrow$ $3 x + 24 = 2 (2 x + 7)$
$\Rightarrow 3 x + 24 = 4 x + 14$ ...[By Distribution Law].

Transpose $x$ terms on one side,
$\Rightarrow$ $4 x - 3 x = 24 - 14$
$\Rightarrow x = 10$ .
